Bruckner was awarded the Independent Spirit Award nomination for "Best Female Lead" in the performance. Her family consisted of three siblings, one brother and two sisters. Hungarian was her first language and she would practice it on a regular basis in order to improve her language skills. Bruckner is a Hollywood Californian born daughter of her Hungarian dad and Russian mom. Her paternal grandparents were German. Her birthplace was in Hollywood California to Hungarian father as well as a Russian mother. Her paternal grandfather born in Germany but was recently separated from her. There are three of her siblings three sisters: two of them, and one brother.
